The hilltop watch Tower with Palace (Guest House) 2023 Eco-Sustainable Full Renovation Details & New Layout
The imposing hilltop square-shaped stone Tower of the Bagnara Estate, built around the year 1000 as a watch tower, with its 20 metres not only creates a solemn scenery, but also provides the possibility to enjoy breathtaking views.
Perfectly restored in 2023 with its attached Palace built over the centuries, it is now home to an eco- sustainable luxury vacation villa with 8 bedrooms (7 doubles + 1 single/ sleeps 15) and 7 bathrooms plus 1 guest bathroom, accommodating up to 15 guests.
It sits on the top of the hill, 100 meters away from the Pieve San Quirico castle.
THE ECO-SUSTAINABLE RENOVATION
The Tower Palace has been renovated in an environmentally friendly way. It has involved the use of sustainable materials, energy-efficient appliances, and renewable energy sources to reduce the carbon footprint of the building. The aim has been to create a healthier living environment while reducing the impact on the environment.
The Tower Palace villa works has included an ambitious project aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of the building, by replacing the current heating and hot water system with a brand new latest generation heat pump system for summer-winter conditioning and the production of hot water. Both the aforementioned thermal plant and the electrical system have been connected to our existing 140 kWh PV Solar Energy Systems, installed on top of the roofs of the new stables and tool shed located in the valley, in order to ensure the power supply with energy from renewable sources self-produced by the Bagnara Estate itself.
Water softener system and Legionella prevention system have also been installed, all internal flooring have been removed and replaced with sustainable materials from renewable sources, the inner walls have been painted with natural breathable paints and certified double glazed windows have been installed in order to improve the building’s thermal insulation. An electric car charching station, 7.4 kW, has been installed in the parking lots of the Tower Palace villa.
Also the Pieve San Quirico Castle (7 bedrooms Main House) power plant and the Reception and Offices power plant are now connected to the property’s PV Solar Energy Systems, effectively making the entire property powered by renewable sources self-produced by the Bagnara Estate itself.
With these interventions, Le Torri di Bagnara Castles further develops its strong commitment to Eco-Sustainability.
